	STAGE 1: SEGREGATION & TRANSPORTATION Shelden Healthcare’s Delivery/Collection Vehicles have dedicated clean and dirty segregated areas. Collection paperwork, bags and cable ties are provided with full traceability of your assets from collection to return.
	STAGE 2: SEPERATION AND PREPARATION FOR LAUNDRY Known infected and soiled mattress systems are segregated prior to work commencing.
	STAGE 3: SEMI-AUTOMATED DECONTAMINATION The next process provides thermal decontamination of mattress covers with all mattress internals thoroughly cleaned using hot water and a PH Neutral detergent, followed by decontamination using a solution of sodium hypochlorite 1000 ppm whether mattress covers have been breached or not.
	STAGE 4: DRYING AND REASSEMBLY Mattress covers are tumble dried in line with manufacturers guidelines. Mattress internals are dried on our bespoke drying rack prior to the reassembly process.
	STAGE 5: CHECK, SERVICE & REPAIR Shelden Healthcare offer a menu of service options from a basic reassembly and check, to a full repair and planned maintenance service using manufacturers’ test protocols and genuine manufacturers’ parts. A certificate of decontamination is issued. Portable Appliance Testing is also completed using the latest Seaward PAT Tester offering a full audit trail. A detailed history of repairs for each asset is available to the customer via the Shelden Web-based Asset Management System.
